A group of artists were invited to produce temporary outdoor sculpture in Fort Sumter, South Carolina. For this sculptural intervention, I selected trees in parking lots, hedge, and lawns in front of public buildings to install knitted and hand woven webs. Their visual hybridism derives from the familiarity with knitting as ordinary practice and the frequency with which spider webs are seen, yet always in a variation of odd and unexpected places and patterns.
